UEFA President Michel Platini has demanded an internal investigation look into why the UEFA protocol wasn’t followed by the referee in the Champions League match between CSKA Moscow and Manchester City earlier this week.

The new UEFA protocol to combat racism says that the referee should stop the game if he receives a complaint of racism (which City captain Yaya Toure informed the referee about during the game), and the referee must then instruct the public announcer to tell supporters to refrain from the racial abuse.

This wasn’t followed, and the game continued as normal.

UEFA issued another statement on on Friday which read:
“Further to the opening of disciplinary proceedings against CSKA Moscow following the alleged racist behaviour of some of their supporters at the UEFA Champions League match between CSKA and Manchester City FC on 23 October, UEFA president Michel Platini has requested that the UEFA administration immediately conduct an internal investigation to understand why the three-step protocol established to deal with incidents of a racist nature was not implemented.”

Meanwhile, UEFA said it would publish the findings of its investigation once the disciplinary case against CSKA had been dealt with by its independent control and disciplinary body on October 30.

Rihanna tapped into her mythological side for the brand new December 2013 cover of BRITISH GQ.  Check out the snakey cover inside, plus Nicki Minaj's newest camel toe pic....

Rihanna's rocked many-a-magazine covers through the years.  But never one where she's overrun by snakes!
For the December issue, which doubles as GQ's 25th anniversary cover, Rihanna teamed up with famed art director Damien Hirst to embark on an art project like we've never seen.
Ri is rocking a bed of snakes on her head, with a huge python (or python-like) snake wrapped around her neck Britney Spears style. Oh, and she's going totally nude to show off her beneath-the-boob tattoo.

Meanwhile, Nicki Minaj is snapping up her own double-take worthy pics over on IG.  She snapped this pic while walking past a mirror--don't act like y'all don't do the same--while rocking skin tight leggings and a hoodie.
And we can only assume Nicki was purposely giving her fans a peep into her most private of places--not just her heart.
It's the slight camel toe that had Twitter in a tiff.  The folks over at VH1 asked if she knew what happened when unnecessary dampness occurred beneath the belt region and told her to free herself from her constrains.  Hilar.

Oh Nicki...

TMZ source Kim Kardashian and Kanye West have already agreed that they will keep their assets separate by drawing up a prenup before they tie the knot ... TMZ has learned.
Multiple sources connected with the couple tell us ... both Kanye and Kim are committed to the marriage and they are not signing a prenup because they're worried the relationship might fall apart. But they're both business people and know given their vast wealth it's just the smart thing to do to have a prenup.
Kim especially understands the importance of a prenup because her late father, attorney Robert Kardashian, told her over and over about the necessity of having clear contracts when it came to money.
We're also told ... even though they will keep their assets separate, they will have a fat joint account for living expenses that will probably approach the gross national product of a small country.
As for how much they have ... some reports place Kim's wealth at $40 mil and Kanye's at $90 mil. But we're told Kim's actually worth more than Kanye.

(AFP) – Nigeria’s army said Friday it had killed 74 suspected Boko Haram fighters in a raid in northeastern Borno state, as gunmen from the Islamist group battled security forces in a neighbouring area.

The army, which is battling to crush a four-year Islamist uprising in Nigeria, said it deployed bombs and ground troops to destroy insurgent camps in Borno on Thursday.

Army spokesman Mohammed Dole said that “74 suspected militants” were killed in the assault outside the Borno capital Maiduguri, where Boko Haram was founded more than a decade ago.

The operation followed an assault Monday on Boko Haram camps in another part of Borno, which the military said left 37 Islamists dead.

In a separate outbreak of violence, suspected Islamist fighters stormed the city of Damaturu in coordinated raids on Thursday, burning at least four police buildings, said a senior police officer who requested anonymity.

The officer said there were casualties from the attack, which will be seen as a setback in the campaign to end the insurgency.

The military had claimed an offensive launched more than four months ago had put Boko Haram on the defensive and left it incapable of attacking major urban centres like Damaturu.

Figures released earlier this year said the conflict had cost more than 3,600 lives, including killings by the security forces. The current toll is certainly much higher

The police in Lagos have arrested a couple, Mr and Mrs Solomon, for allegedly stabbing their neighbour, Miss Happiness Andrew, 25, during a quarrel over dustbin.

The victim, who has been hospitalised, was allegedly stabbed in the neck and face with a broken bottle and with a knife following a little misunderstanding.

Hapiness fell down almost unconscious as blood gushed profusely from her neck and face. She was rushed to Ajowa Hospital, Araromi, in the night immediately after the incident occurred where the doctor and nurses in the hospital battled to save her life.

It was gathered that the attack happened at their residence at 4, Modupe Ayode Street, Araromi area of Iyana-Ipaja, Lagos, southwest Nigeria.

The police arrested the man and his wife who hail from Edo State, and charged them to court.

Happiness, a security guard working at an eatery at Tollgate area, narrated to our reporter on her hospital bed what happened on the fateful day at the two-storey building where she lives with her sister.

She said there was a misunderstanding over the issue of refuse being dumped in her sister’s dustbin by her neighbours after she complained about it because none of the neighbours help to throw it away when the PSP people come around.

Happiness said their neighbour, Mrs Solomon, popularly called Mama Osas, heard her complaining and reported the matter to her elder sister, which made her furious and spoke to her rudely the following day when she came back from work.

“When my sister came back from work, she was talking to me angrily and saying that she will leave the house for us and run away since we cannot take care of her house when she is away. I did not reply her and this continued till Sunday. And when I finally challenged her, she told me what Mama Osas told her about the dustbin.

“I told my sister that I did not mention anybody’s name and that I can call people to witness to it. I went to call one of the witnesses to confirm what I said that day. As we were talking, Mama Osas came to the scene and was pointing her finger close to my face and saying that she was going to fight me, but I told her that there was no way I could fight with her,” she explained.

According to her, as the altercation was on, Mr Solomon came to the scene with his 14-year old boy, and thinking he wanted to call his wife to order, someone suddenly stabbed her in the neck and another by the side of her head, and she immediately fell down, bled profusely and became unconscious.

She said it was later she learnt that it was Mr Solomon who allegedly stabbed her in the neck with a broken bottle and on her face with a knife, saying that after carrying out the act, Mama Osas rushed to the Mosalashi Police Station before them to report that she was attacked by her neighbour.

However, Happiness’ family members also went to the police station with the landlord of the house to report the incident.

“The landlord told the police that it was the couple that stabbed him and the police arrested the woman while her husband ran away. He was later arrested and both of them were charged to the Ejigbo Magistrates’ Court and remanded in Kirikiri Prison,” she said.
